How are you navigating the terrain of our changing and chaotic world?

We are at a crossroads. I’m seeing a division amongst us, in families, communities, and the world.

How can we create more productive conversations without feeling the need to shut another person down?

Let’s begin with shifting the intention behind the conversation. What do we want to create?

Listening

For me, I’m clear. I want more harmony, unity, trust, understanding, peace and love.

Rather than a righteous “I’m right and you’re wrong” focus, how can we set the intention before every conversation, as an opportunity to come together and have respectful, meaningful conversations that lead to positive change?

It begins with each of us taking responsibility for how we show up, and for our impact in our family and in the world. How can we bring more love and understanding into our conversations? And how can we role model this for our children and grandchildren?

I believe it begins with listening. Not listening to react or respond, but listening to actually hear what the other person is saying. Listening with curiosity. Listening with respect. Listening with compassion. Listening to learn.

Only then can we begin to understand, discuss and find solutions that are respectful and inclusive.

I’m ready to stop the battle. I’m ready to stop the pain. I am ready to stop defending and come together for a better world. For a united world.

What about you? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Feel free to share them in the comments below or in my Private Facebook Group Opening Doors. I’d love to see you there.

It’s my passion and my life purpose to support others during these times of change.  If you’d like to have a conversation with me, I invite you to hit “reply” and let’s set up a time to talk.
