A pond full of lotus plants with white lotus flowers.

I’m often asked why people feel so good when they are around me.

I believe it’s because I’m super grateful for my life, and I open my heart to receiving good things. I navigate hard things from a place of optimism and trust. I’m also happy, and I like myself. All of this creates my energy.

Today, I’m sharing something you most likely know however you may not be consistently practicing or conscious of.

What you give attention to expands in your life and becomes you.

It creates your energy and how you feel about yourself. This includes what you talk about, think about, imagine happening and believe is true.

What you fear or worry about, dread, create a negative story around, or gossip about, you’ll get more of.

On the other hand, if you focus on and celebrate what you are grateful for and think and speak about healing, abundance and support in your life, you’ll get more of that.

What you give your energy, attention and focus to, you will create more of in your life.

A fun example of this is what happened the other day. I mentioned to Larry I needed to get broccoli for dinner. In less than 30 minutes, our neighbor came over with a head of broccoli from her garden.

A bigger example of this happened a couple of years ago when we were looking for a home. Once I got super clear with what I wanted and how it was going to feel when we were living there, it came to us within one week. I trusted the process and knew it was possible.

If you complain that life is hard and focus on what’s going wrong, you will create more to complain about and struggle with.

Your thoughts, words, stories, and emotions are either expanding you in a direction you can celebrate or constricting you in feelings and stories of lack, stuckness, sickness, loneliness, worry and dread.

Today, I invite you to slow things down enough to notice what you’re focusing on during your day. Notice your words, your thoughts and how you are feeling in your body. Is your heart open? Do you feel light?

Notice the people you hang out with and the conversations you have. Do they open your heart and leave you feeling happy, or close your heart and leave you feeling toxic?

Notice your thoughts. What do you think about when you first get up in the morning or when you go to work? Do you feel excited or stuck?

You are creating your life with each thought, feeling, fear, belief and story. Make them conscious. Notice what needs to change.

Comment below if you’d like support in shifting your consciousness to change your life. I’d love to support you.
